Oil Expeller

Oil expeller is the central part of the whole oil extraction plant. Oil expeller consists of a screw shaped worm enclosed in a sealed chamber. The chamber has inlet and outlet opening which enable the flow of input seeds and outgoing oil and refuse. The precooked seeds are fed through a hopper into the inlet of the chamber. The screwing action of the worm pushes the seeds towards the narrow end.

As the seeds are pressed to the narrow end, oil is released as a result of increased pressure. Through very tiny holes, specially built at this end, oil escapes the chamber. Flowing through the pipes oil is collected at storage end. The refuse of the seeds after extracting oil is collected as oil cakes which is again a very important commercial product. Most of the plants work out their economic viability by calculating the sales of oil cakes.

While setting up the plant, oil expeller is the key component which decides the rest of the parameters like production capacity, control over the quality of produce, scale of automation and other commercial aspects. At Shreeji Oil expellers, as a result of years of research we have designed and engineered paramount quality of oil expellers taking into account all this considerations. By researching on the fine parameters like tapering of the screw and design of the worm we have been successful in increasing the output and maintaining the quality of the oil extracted. We have created a series of products to suit the diverse needs of the customers. We have availability of oil expellers with capacity ranging from few Kg/hour to several tones/hour.

Oil ExpellerThere are primarily 2 modes of operation for an Oil expeller, cold press mode and hot press mode. In the cold press method, incoming seed is fed without preheating. On the other hand in the hot press mode the seeds have to go through a preheating step. The major commercial difference is the quality of cake and yield of oil. In cold press method, the cake produced is more valuable and it compromises with the yield of the seed. While in hot press method, preheating ruptures cells of the seeds, which in turn increases the yield of the oil. But in this process the cake produced is less valuable as compared to cold press. As per the requirement of the industries we have the expertise to provide either type of oil expeller machine.
